Great season by the boys, I am really pleased with how it all went (considering the number of injuries we had).

McPharlin - 8 weeks
Grover - 6 weeks
Jonson - 5 weeks
Ballantyne - 6 weeks
Mayne - 10 weeks
Tarrant - 10 weeks
Silvagni - 8 weeks
Barlow - 10 weeks
Suban - 6 weeks
Broughton - 6 weeks

Now it's time to look to trade week and draft time.  What is everyone's thoughts about what/who Freo should be targeting in the off season?

1)  We need some KPD's (to replace Taz and Grover)
2)  Re-sign Mundy
3)  Get a good deal in the trade of Taz
3)  Get Barlow and Palmer up and firing during pre-season
4)  Maybe another inside midfielder

Kazahkstan

Any idea as to why Palmer didn't play much of the latter part of the season?

Quite simply -- form and mind.  There is a very high expectation put on Palmer over here in the West.  Basically this is his second year (actually 3rd but injury cut him down after 5 games in his second year).  Maybe just not adjusting to the pressure and I am not sure his body was completely right.

I don't think he was mentally able to play well after the Barlow incedent.  Palmer needs to concentrate on the pre-season and getting his body right and working on his disposal as well.  I think he can be a great in and under type player who can get in to space and use the ball (Like Lenny Hayes) - if he works hard enough.

You won't get much for Taz. Clubs will just pick him up in the draft for free, with Taz setting his price

Thats not the mail I have been getting.  Taz wants to go back to Melbourne but wants to look after Freo at the same time.  Rumour has it if a decent deal cant be done he will think of retiring.

True, but an injury prone and old player is going to have clubs baulking at anything decent. Might get 3rd round pick at best.

Freo get nothing if he retires

Alex7089

Yeah but nor does he go to another club for nothing.
If I was a Freo supporter I would rather he retire than go for 0.

I actually like the look of SNOS going forward.  He is just learning the defensive craft so he can use that to his advantage

EAGLE4LIFE
