You'll have that from me as well. Couldn't think of anything worse than having the Pies in the GF

bunyip

Absolutely, unless of course we knew they were going to lose ;D

Master Q

This is a big statement, but I back it 100%

However wins this game, will beat St.Kilda (or the Dogs, but we all know that won't happen)

bunyip

If the saints win this week they will be harder to beat than last year I think

benjy251090

i reckon the saints will win the premiership, with kosi pulling his finger out of his behind and kicking 5

I hope the Saints win, but it would be even better if it were against the Pies and by 1 point again :P

Cruiseon

The Saints are irrelevant at this stage it is all about Geelong v Pies.

It really is very even, I still think Geelong at their best would beat Collingwood at their best but Geelong have rarely been at their best against the top teams this year. I think the inconsistent Johnson, Stokes, Varcoe & Byrnes all need to fire whereas apart from Davis and perhaps Macaffer, the Pies are more consistent of the two.

I also think despite all the talk Jolly has the advantage in the ruck.

The midfields are very close, I'm nervous just typing.

Go Pies!!!

bunyip

Be afraid.....be VERY afraid ;D

bunyip

By the way cruis, have you written to Freo to thank them for running some of those players into a bit of form?

Cruiseon

Bunyip I have thanked Freo for returning to Geelong the important factor of complacency especially to your ruckmen, Stevie Johnson, Stokes & Varcoe.

We could ask for no more.

bunyip

Complacency? Against Collingwood?
You must be joking. During the season, maybe. In an elimination final, I don't think so.
Believe me cruis, the players won't be thinking about the GF on Friday. They will come out focused, at full strength, and in form, as will Collingwood.
The only difference is the Pies have not had a competative game for 3 weeks. I'm sure that doesn't matter though :)

Cruiseon

We haven't had a competitive game for about 10 weeks!

We let the Hawks have a go in round 22, the Bears gave us a good run in round 10, since then it was only the Dees who gave us a workout.  Geelong was comfortable, the Saints we beat by 50 points etc etc

bunyip

You're right cruis. Collingwood is truly a tall poppy, sorry, I meant to say a great side. ;D

It is a bit ridicolous really. We were gonna do it anyway!
