We will drive a stake through the heart of the beast, and send it into the abyss, never to return!

8-6 Suited

Talk yourselves up just a litttttle bit more. You were in some form when we beat you last time...

Either way will be a great game, just don't get your panties all wound up and packed for a trip to the Granny yet.

This game reminds me of a son playing his father, and for the first time knowing he can beat the ol' man

Alex7089

Haha okay ossie...:)

I think it will be tight the whole game very physical match but the winner will be fairly clear at 3 qtr time...

Agreed, I think that's what will happen.

bunyip

I don't. This game will go down to the wire. I give Collingwood a slight advantage over Geelong, both teams are in good form and at full strength, no excuses.

SCADDICT

Collingwood will be owned by Geelong when it actually counts. End of conversation I reckon.

Alex7089

Agreed Geelongs finals experience will give them the edge in my book.

Geelong have been lobbying for underdog status. I don't agree. The best team of the last 4 years can't suddenly be underdogs

Trying to switch the status Ossie? Don't like being favourites ;)

Collingwood deserve to be favourites due their stellar season, and record over the second half of the season. They have been the best team this year, the 3 years prior to this don't count at this moment IMO

OK guys, lets get real shall we?
Geelong MAY have an edge in finals experience, but to be honest, on the day, that means NOTHING.
Collingwood DID have a GREAT year, but still only finished 1/2 a game ahead of Geelong. And yes, they had a harder draw, so what.
On the day, the best team will win, Collingwood have improved this year, Geelong have not, but are STILL the best team until someone beats us in an important game like this.
Some people have said, (not on this forum) that one team or the other has nothing to lose. RUBBISH, we both have EVERYTHING to lose, this is going to be one of the great prelims (I hope).
I love Geelong, and want them to win, and I believe they can, but I am not blind as to what we are facing, and that is a very good team in good form at FULL strength.
No doubt, Collingwood supporters feel the same way.
You really want to know how important this game is.
If Geelong win, and go on to win the GF they will be the BEST Geelong team EVER. If they lose, they will be the second best Geelong team in history. Think about that. And, don't think for a second that the players don't realize that.

Boomz

Either way it will be a great game... For once im barracking for geelong.

bunyip

Goodonya Boomz. I hereby call on ALL non Collingwood supporters to direct all there positive energy to Geelong, so that we may beat the pretenders.
