High: 132 (Round 1)
Low: 71 (Round 4)

High Price: $505,100 (round 1)
Lowest Price: $421,500 (round 7)

Summary:

Anthony was the wonderkid of 2009 - the Michael Barlow of the year. This was reflected by his massive starting price of $505,700, remarkable for a 2nd year player. He started off the season with a bang - 132 - before his season was ended with hamstring injury. A couple of 70s kept his average down.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number

Price: $440,100 (no discount), $396,000 (10% discount), $352,000 (20% discount)
Position: MID

Well, even with no discount, he looks very cheap. Should be guaranteed a 10% discount, and if we are VERY lucky, maybe a 20%. As usual, it comes down to a strong preseason - especially for a player coming  back from injury. With North Melbourne's very young and talented midfield, Anthony could be one to shine and average over 100.

Decision:

He is seriously on my radar. A lot will depend on team structure, but a discounted player like this could be gold. I'd almost put him in the 'cheap premium' status that Hodge, Franklin and Malceski were at the start of 2010. If he has a decent preseason, he is locked in.

Will he be one of the most popular players next year?

benjy251090

given a full pre-season, who knows, more than likely though, will see if i can fit him in

Fletch74

Full pre-season and he is more than likely locked in depending on his pre-season form.

thatguy

prob more a DT star than SC but he will be cheap enough to bank on early.

CuStArDaRm

Yeh couldnt go wrong with him if heis fit.
Personally Im looking at all the new MPP's next season.
Gibbs, Lids......And Imagine the GAzman as Fwd-Mid  :P

Justin Bieber

Can rack it up :-\. As Custardarm said, he is more for DT. Could still be serviceable at a tad under 400k 8).

Want Swallow but if anthony is cheap enough.......

Hawka

Lovin that  discount thats predicted

DazBurg

very good player at a nice price....personally not in my thinking atm...but you never know

Justin Bieber

Played less than 8 games so should get a discount. That's what happened with this year's prices.

antman

EAGLE4LIFE

i'll pick him up depending on price

saborn

Could easily meet or beat his 95 average from 2009 and at under 400k you'd have to consider him

SCADDICT

Yeah would only consider him under 400k. He's solid and a proven ball winner but no superstar.

Hawka

he will eventully become a superstar

Alex7089

At below 400 thousand I won't say no. Lock him in.
