What can we learn from this team? Well, I guess the main thing is that you can pick a team with only 7 keeper premiums, a guy who retires mid season, two guys who get LTIs well before the end of the season, a few disappointing midpricers, avoid many of the best rookies, and still win AFL Dream Team.  :P

Seriously though, although this is certainly a good starting lineup, the flaws in it prove that the trades you make from round 5 to round 12 or so are more important than getting the perfect starting team.

Its an amazing average starting team but there you go.Congrats TAGer,s.  Swan,Ablett,Hodge and Chappy with there early season form helped. Where are all the rookies?

Martin, Barlow and Peterson starting (Waters also cheap). But the rucks saved him quite a bit of cash.

Still would of thought there could of been couple more rookies in light of a fair bit of talk this season as a legit strategy.Peterson wasnt much early in the season,no Skully,Trengrove,Bastinic maybe Moribito.  Hows the new Toyota TAGers?

jamster

this proves that rookies can be keepers and a gun midfield from the start is paramount, my midfield next year will be

swan, 500k, 450k, liam anthony dswallow 1st pick that doesnt go to gc

all except 1st pick that doesnt go to gc will be keepers,
good idea?

DT87, Hodge was a keeper but good traded out during finals wouldve been in his team for say 20 rounds

brodman_18

He must have made some genius trades. But having seen this I will defs be trying the bargan ruck theroy next year with some good options in that position.

thatguy

can we post his final team?

the 2011 prospectus will show all his trades.

supercoach addict

WTF. How did a team with Medhurst even manage to finish in the top 100k?
