I think it would be cool if we could base it on the Official EPL Fantasy Game Scoring, but just change it a little. Please post your thoughts, as it is our game.

I was thinking this:

For Playing A Game:

Our Way: 1 Point           Their Way: 1 Point

For Playing At Least 60 Minutes ( includes playing points mentioned above)

Our Way: 3 Points? (Counting the 1 Earlier)        Their Way: 2 Points (Counting the 1 Earlier)

For each goal scored by your goalkeeper or defenders

Our Way: 7 Points            Their Way: 6 Points

For each goal scored by your midfielders

Our Way: 4 Points       Their Way: 5 Points

For each goal scored by your forwards

Our Way: 3, 3.5 or 4 Points (Undecided)       Their Way:  4 Points

For each goal assist

Our Way: 3 Points        Their Way: 3 Points

For your goalkeeper / defender conceding 0 goals (must also play at least 60 minutes)

Our Way: 3.5 or 4  Points       Their Way: 4 Points

For your midfielder conceding 0 goals (must also play at least 60 minutes)

Our Way: 0 or 0.5 Points     Their Way: 1 Point

For every 3 shot saves made by your goalkeeper

Our Way: 2 Points      Their Way: 1 Point

For every penalty save

Our Way: 6 Points      Their Way: 5 Points

For every penalty miss

Our Way: -4 Points     Their Way: -2 Points

Bonus points for the best players in a match

Our Way: 0 Points       Their Way: 1-3 Points

For every 2 goals conceded by your goalkeeper or defenders

Our Way: -1 Point       Their Way: -1 Point

For every yellow card

Our Way: -0.5 Points?    Their Way: -1 Point

For every red card (includes any yellow card points)

Our Way: -4 Points        Their Way: -3 Points

For every own goal

Our Way: -2 Points        Their Way: -2 Points

I think a best players on ground should be there. It's a little something for the players who don;t get recognized.

i agree, especially for those mids who don't score or get cleansheet bonus

We can just use something as simple as goal.com player ratings as have 5-3-1 as 3 best players.

Like this idea. Will reward those who don't score alot fantasy wise but are bigger influences on the actual games. How would it be decided though? Us or the official site?

Don't go into decimals. Will make it a little annoying and a little overcomplicated. Not really but prefer whole numbers as they are easier to put scores together and base off each other.

Midfielders shouldn't get a point for a clean sheet unless they are defensive mids (e.g Essien, Palacios, Mikel).

Agree with the goals scored by certain types. It's forward's job to score goals so shouldn't be too much while defenders who score are a bonus.

Just use Goal.com They release player ratings after the game. Not totally accurate but it's better then nothing.

Problem is they don't release player ratings for each game, only the main matches. I think that scores should just be kept exactly the same as the EPL scoring system, including bonus points

I was actually thinking that. It would be hard to keep track everyone. I'll lock the thread, the scoring is there way.
