I hate putting Hodge on the back flank. He hasn't played back all year. I know the AA selectors probably will pick him there but it doesn't feel right for the integrity of AA. If you play back, you can be picked in the back 6 or on the bench. Same for mid and forward.

Same thing with Swan last year, a joke he was named on the forward flank.

I know positions are much more liquid than they once were, but it just doesn't seem right. AA should be the opportunity for players who are the best at their position or role to be recognised, not to put together a list of great midfielder.

Oh I'm not saying it is your fault. You had to fit the top 22 from the poll into positions and faced with that choice there was probably no other way I would do it.

The problem is I can see Hodge being named there to fit in another midfielder tonight and costing an Enright, Deledio, Rawlings, O'Brien a spot they deserve.
