I've been doing some thinking about Essendon's dire plight & realised that the list of names going around is excluding the perfect candidate.

If the requirements include multiple Premiership experience, strong past ties to the Essendon football club, a person of vision for the club then forget Williams, Daniher, Laidley, Richardson or even Matthews.

I'd like to commence the story of the year, yes, you know what it is "Bring back Sheeeeds"

It's unlikely to happen but just stop for a minute and thnk how good it would be.

If you ask me, Sheeds is why Knights has been sacked in the first place. Knights was left with the ordinary list after Sheeds' tenure at the club. I just hope that they don't go for Hird. Please, someone with experience of some sort.

no coach after knights will get sacked for 4-5 years, because they have no real shoes to fill..

What about Terry Daniher? Or was it Neil who coached Melbourne. No-one is more respected at Windy Hill, and he MUST have learnt a lot at Melbourne.
