Nice round up Fletch.

A few suprises. Santa, Schawz and Babel not moving :(. They could of gotten back to doing wonders on field ;D.

Van Der Vaart is inconsistent but damn is he good with the ball. Great signing for Tottenham. But now they will probably sell some other players off in january.

In Konchesky, Out Insua. Reckon they should of kept Insua unless they needed the cash for Konchesky. Doesn't hurt to have backup defenders who can slot back into the lineup.

Stoke seem to be big winners on the last day. Gudjohnsen may be older but hopefully still has it 8). Pennant and Wilson are highly touted. Pennant used to be a hot prospect but never lived up to it.

Wigan signing 1 youngsters and loaning for another. Could pay off for them. Di Santo I like. Seems to have some silky skills with him.

I knew babel wouldn't go to spurs.

If the deal for VDV to Tottenham goes through they will have a pretty decent attack then. This is how I would set up:
Lennon - Modric - VDV - Bale
         Defoe - Crouch

But in away matches in Europe I would play like this
             Huddleston
Lennon - Modric - VDV - Bale
               Defoe

What do you think?

RobsOverAchieverss

Hey CF, looks good on i think it is similiar to how we play atm minus RVDV, on a different note did you watch much of Mexico in the WC, in particular Gio dos santos the boy has ability would lve to see him given more of a chance.

CrowsFan

Yeah I know it's similar to how they already play, but that's the point. You can't alter how a team plays because of just one player. Modric and VDV in the centre together is a scary thought for other teams!
Yeah I saw a fair bit of Mexico in the WC and you're right Gio looked great, but where would you play him? Up front or on the wings?

Yeah your right i dont know where he was the main man for Mexico, and was pretty much given a messi type role play where you want!! i dunno just his dribbling skills are great dont know if he would fit in our midfield or alongside defoe or crouch.

CrowsFan

Yeah he could work well in a 4-3-3 system, with Modric, VDV, and Huddlestone sitting in the middle with Defoe up front and Gio and Bale as attacking wingers. Gio could then float around up front and swap positions with Defoe

Guys, sorry to change topics, but I want your advice on Sunderland. Now that they have signed Gyan, does that pose any doubt for Bent playing?

I think it helps Bent, Bent is the main man at the Black Cats and gyan and him will form a formidable partnership i think.

Fletch74

Thanks Rob. I currently have Drogba, Harwood, and Bent in the official EPL, and will probably have to get rid of Harwood, was just wondering if Bent was going to be a liability as well.

RobsOverAchieverss

Definetly not the need a striker to replace kenwyne thats all.

Fletch74

Well they were cashed up after his transfer, plus Waghorn is gone now too.

Agree with Rob. If anything, it might actually help him score more goals or even give off some assists. Helps my Henderson alright as long as he keeps playing :D.
