LOL big mistake he is the reason there in the championship signing players with his blank cheque. CF expecting any signings for your boys UTD?

CrowsFan

Yeah I know, but to be fair they are both Irish :P
Nah not expecting any more signings for united. Ferguson usually gets his signings done early on so he can work with them and get adjusted early. I am hoping though that Cleverly is sent out on loan to either Bolton or Wigan so that I can pick him in the fantasy games. That kid is very talented, has a great future

Talented UTD youngster they don't produce them do they  ;) Who am i to Question the greatest ever scottish manager but although Giggs and Scholes are champion footballers, i dont see alot of youngster's getting a game there has been alot lost to other clubs alot go on loan, but giving them ago in the first team would benefit them immensily even macheda ,he is a gun.

CrowsFan

Yeah I have noticed that problem too. Every few years they have a few players that have so much potential but miss out on the first team football and their careers stagnate, i.e. kieran richardson. it would be good to see them get more chances in the first XI. i'm still waiting to see obertan get his chance

Fergie is a stubborn manager, Richardson and Frazier campbell, daniel Wellbeck etc....But scholes and giggs can't be denied scholes best passer of the ball i have seen pinpoint accuracy and giggs well he is giggs unfortunately i think UTD will finish 3rd.

he sure is stubborn, but it has worked for him so far. well i'm hoping for a little higher than 3rd. i take it you think chelsea 1st city 2nd? united just need to learn how to play without having rooney upfront, the game against fulham was a prime example. when rooney isn't there they just seem that little bit weaker. also if they learn how to utilise hernandez's pace then that could get them a fair few goals this year. fergie said himself after the fulham game that there were plenty of times that the midfielders could have played through balls for him but just not used to him yet.

Andrew3737

What makes you think United will finish 3rd?

Also, Messi and Ronaldinho are top 20 ever. Wouldn't be surprised if Messi ended up top 3.

[/quote]I dunno i just think that chelsea will win it and City or maybe someone else can sneak into 2nd its very open this year, your right no rooney different united he scores a majority of your goals there isn't alot of depth up forward but i am sure the old boys can stand up for you again this year and fergie always seems to get the best out of them, its only a matter of time before city do what chelsea done.Whats your top 3?

Andrew3737

Robinho has sealed a switch to Milan.

chelsea, man u, arsenal for me :) dont say chelsea will win though you will jinx them :P

Andrew3737

Not a lot of depth upfront? Come one now.......

Rooney, Macheda, Owen, Hernandez, Berbatov, Bebe even Obertan can play upfront. Not to mention Diouf, Welbeck and King out on loan and can be recalled if needed.

CrowsFan

Ok my top 3 (no bias at all) - United, Chelsea, Arsenal/City
Even when Rooney doesn't score he provides that spark up front and boundless energy, also occupies the defenders for others to make space. Berbatov looks like he is taking it up a notch this year which is great, I have always liked him as a player. The problem when he leads the line without Rooney there though is that he doesn't have the work rate of Rooney so can't shake the defenders and create space

Yeah he was a big sook at Spurs very lazy off the ball, but he has actually lifted his work rate at UTD, it probably could happen that way with your top 3 i think it will be a close season alot of people said chelsea couldn't buy sucess and they did' it's a matter of time, Adebayor,Santa cruz , tevez and balotelli with bellamy on loan thats som good fire power

Yeah I think if he hadn't lifted his work rate he would have been kicked out. Just like Ibra at Barca. Yeah should be a very close season. All the top teams have a poor patch at some point in the season, it could just depend on who gets out of their patch first. City do have some strong fire power, but I think Santa could be leaving today, and I don't think Bellamy is going to be recalled unfortunately
