van der Vaart move is a wierd one because he is a player that Tottenham do not need. CF, those lineups are dreadful because you don't have an engine. You have 2 offensive players that don't do any defensive work in the centre of the park. If van der Vaart moves, expect Bale pushed back to LB and Modric on the left. Huddlestone and Palacios will share roles in the centre of the park, while van der Vaart will most prob use most of the time as the furthest midfielder. It's a terrible move in the point that Bale is pushed back and Kranjcar and Modric are already in the team and well able to play those roles. It's a terrific move because van der Vaart is a world class player in his prime and available for 8m.

This also brings the point up in what SAF is looking for. It is very clear now that he is not looking for a central creative player because 2 already have been avaliable and he has over looked them but he bought a player that no one has ever heard of for around the same price. I guess he has bought creative players in before and all have failed. European creative players don't suit United and I don't really want them in if they aren't going to work in the system.

Expect a crooked 4-4-2 diamond shape at home

vdV will always be the furthest midfielder forward.

Away and esp in European games, where vdV is going to make the most impact, will most likely be a 4-2-3-1.

[/quote]Don't hear much about the youth team. Now a youngster by the name of Delfenouso (close enough) who is quite a talented striker. Doubt he'll crack first team anytime soon but could be one to watch for the future if Agbon, Carew and Heskey get injured ;D. Which I hope never happens at once :-X.
