Speaking as a not Essendon supporter, I don't think your list is that bad. It's just possible that they didn't give 100% this season because THEY wanted Knights to go.

Our list is poor agreed.
But, a lot of those players could improve with a decent coach and more importantly one they like!
Lloyd in my eyes left because of him, Hird wouldn't even consider playing under anybody but Sheedy, Lucas didn't seem fit nor determined, his last decent game was Sheedy's last game.

This list is pathetic because it is not being developed properly, not because it is not capable.

Here Here SCADDICT. Well put. This was only a snap reaction to a presidents dinner/lunch. There are some up and comers in our team which the new coach will be given the credit for bringing the best out of them.... That's why it is wrong!!

I think we all agree we are not sad to see Knights go but no coach would be successful with this list at this point in time.

It is almost like Essendon knew he would fail and almost picked him because of it, I mean they must of known the club was in a bad way when Sheeds left, and whoever overtook would be hated and would fail, so why pick somebody like Hardwick? It would ruin his aspirations!
