Would Jackson Trengove be worth buying next year in Dreamteam, seeming he has been playing a Defensive/Ruckman job? He has put on a couple of 80's in his first year in a team in that doesnt provide much dt score.

Please tell me your thoughts on Jackson Trengove for next year.

yeah he will be a bit over priced for what he is worth next year and players always seem to have a bad second year (second year blues)

DragonForce

Lol, thanks for the honesty but he's gotta put on some good form. You have Bass who doesn't play, Brogan has had a fine season but is getting on and ain't kickin the goals.  :o

Daniel Rich, got NAB Rising Star and he has had a fine year, not a stellar, not a disappointment, just fine. I believe, with a coach like Primus (Former Ruckman), could give some really good advice for the upcomer.

As a MPP player consideration would be taken at this stage but will wait n see next pre season etc,

Also Lobbe is there & the draft & trades & who's up for the annual sales.

True, but i believe Port Power will hold onto Trengove, as he plays as a second ruckman and is very flexible. Lobbe has played 2 games i believe, and i wasn't really overwhelmed on how his performance went but a rookie is a rookie and for all i know he could become the next Arron Sandilands.

Jackson is a better defender than ruck but has made a few games out of it.

Might be a little out of price range for a benchie next year. Probably a 6th or 7th backman. Would be hoping Port improves so he can gain a few more points. But most 2nd year players suffer the "Second Year Blues".

Zac Smith will be a better ruckman for back up

up to you ate but i personally prefer to get a rookie a mid pricer turning into a gun or a gun and i dont think trengove will fit into any of these categories next year. completley my presonal preferenes though

Well, lets look at some of the capabilities and good things about Jackson Trengove.

1. Jackson Trengove can play Defender and/or Ruckman.
2. He has kicked 3 goals for the season out of 18 games (More than Brogan).
3. Even though for a tall bloke, he gets down low and goes hard for the ball.
4. Isn't affraid to kick the ball unlike some other Ruckman, even though he is more played as a Defender.

With mentors such as Primus and Brogan, i believe Jackson Trengove will become a great player. In my mind, he is sort of like Kepler Bradely, a floating Ruckman/Defender (Though Bradely does go forward).

Though he is more than likely to suffer from the 2nd season curse, and his price dissalows being a benchie, he could still be a second Ruckman if low on money or a 6th - 7th Defender.

Im not saying we should all buy him, but just look at the possibilities, i'm not in love with J. Trengove though some of you may think that, just i find he could be a great player and a great Dreamteamer next year (Also allowing that Port Power do better next year).

HA HA HA - the closest he'll get is by looking at the imprint on Phil Davis' forehead and imagining it's his reflection  ;D
