West Coast also beat Essendon. Twice. So yeah, wouldn't get too excited

The worst mistake anyone can make in a final is underestimate your opponent. If Collingwood go into this game thinking they have already won it (and I'm sure they won't) then they are done. You don't look at who isn't playing, you look at who IS.
And by the way, I don't believe any of this bullsh about Lake. If he so much as stubbed his toe last week, do you really think they would have played him?

I know :P. Being sarcastic (which is hard to translate over the net) ;D.

Agreed bunyip. Can never underestimate your opponent.

Roughy will play, he almost has to, hard to imagine a player not playing in an elimination final....

Griffin is gonna hurt. He's an important player

Alex7089

Yeah he is really important the only other bloke in the team who can provide similar run and carry is Cooney and...
If Griffin is out as well it will most likely slow done Dogs ball movement a lot and then the forward movements will break down on that half back line as it always does V Pies this year.

Anything can happen in finals, 22 v 22. I for one will be wary of the dogs until the siren goes.

Absolutely. I expect Collingwood will win, but they will know they were in a game. The Doggies still have plenty of ball carriers, Lake, Harbrough, Hargrave, Murphy, Eagleton.
I think it will come down to the defenses. Collingwoods forward line oozes talent, Footscrays not as much. As usual, it will be up to the half backs and midfield players to prevent  pinpoint passes to the forwards.
Footscray has the weakest backline of the top 4 clubs, so the midfield MUST at least break even, or it's see you in the elimination final next week Footscray.
