BGK

He will come in for Leigh Brown. Suspended for 1 week. IMO leon should come back in. Anthony has become a horrible player this year.

So i predict 2 changes this week,

Brown and Anthony Out
Fraser and Davis In

Typical Pies supporter BGK.

You're right, I don't watch football at all. It's a shower game, I just come to troll these boards.

Tag order this year against Pies has been Pendles, Swan, Didak

Pendles is more damaging than Swan skillwise, and really if you disagree you are a tool and no shower all about your own team.

Swan would get tagged ahead of Didak, as Didak plays a role very similar to Chappy, since Pies have a great number of kids coming through rotating through the guts, Sidebum, Daisy and Beams off the top of my head, be stupid to have him as a consistant midfielder.

What makes it worse for you is that you AGREED with my original statement, you have just failed basic English.

Didak often gets tagged first. Didak is more damaging than Pendles. Pendles and Swan are different kind of players, Pendles handballs a lot more than Swan does, so on kicking and running I'd say Swan is more damaging, in general play I'd give it to Pendles for his efficient disposal and footy smarts.

A lot of us partly agreed on your statement, not completely. I.e. not having a dominant game doesn't mean you're not playing accountable footy.

The game has changed a lot lately in tagging, midfielders aren't exclusively tagged anymore. So your point that it would be silly to play Didak has a consistent midfielder is true, but irrelevant when it comes to the tagging argument.

Also the first sign your losing an argument is when you start name calling and hair-pulling. Seriously, people disagree on much more important things than football and manage to keep it civil.

Noone did, they took it to mean that Didak is crap, full stop.

I went through the game archives on FF, and only a handful of times did I see Didak getting tagged by oppositions #1 tagger (Jones, once, off the top of my head), Ling went to Pendles both times and often times Didak get's the 2nd or 3rd tagger (case against Swans and bombers off the top of my head).

As for name calling, etc. Responding in kind to BGK, I don't like being called names :-)

Pendles may well be a better kick than swan and indeed better at overall disposals but do you have any idea how ludicrous an argument your 'more damaging' statement is? Look at the stats for hard ball gets, tackles, disposals, goals, score assists, inside fifties etc etc between the two players and you may even come to the conclusion that the only douche around here is you. Now about that hole, sorry crater of yours....

Back on topic. I am hoping as an sc coach Didak plays this weekend but common sense would dictate he is almost certain to be rested come 5pm tonight.

Glennrules

I heard on zizzle.com.au he was playing...pretty reliable source  :D

Lets:

Pendles:

Kicks: 271
Handballs: 294
Bounces:  19
Contested Possessions: 200 (around 35%)*
Uncontested Possessions: 367
Disposal: 565
Disposal Efficiency: 74% (147 uneffective)(Clangers: 37)
Tackles: 115
Marks: 97
Contested Marks: 11
Marks inside 50: 11
Inside 50: 73
Goals: 13
Behinds: 12
Score Assists: 23
FF: 27
FA: 7
1%: 36

Swan:
Kicks: 393
Handballs: 274
Bounces: 23
Contested Possessions: 216 (around 32%)*
Uncontested Possessions: 432
Disposal: 667
Disposal Efficiency: 73% (180 uneffective)(Clangers: 48)
Tackles: 94
Marks: 119
Contested Marks: 10
Marks inside 50: 11
Inside 50: 101
Goals: 17
Behinds: 20
Score Assists: 25
FF: 20
FA: 9
1%: 30

*maths could be wrong, either way Pendles has a greater % of contested possession than Swan.

So for over 100 possesions more, Swan beat Pendles convincingly in 2 areas that you said. I had forgotten that sheer weight in numbers = better player...

Oh.. Wait.. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/matthew-lloyd-defends-his-klomp-award/story-e6frf9jf-1225909773363 *read the comments also

I'm going to sit back and chuckle quietly to myself

Yes, Pendlebury has a higher proportion of contested possesions. But Swan actually averages (marginally) more contested possesions per game than Pendlebury. Disposal efficiency is about the same with Pendles the slight edge.

Inside 50 count is significantly Swan's favour.

But how bout that Alan Didak? Find out tonight whether he's in or out. Though Malthouse is a bit tricky about these things.

benjy251090

Why don't you ladies go grab your bikini's whilst I organise a wade pool full of jelly to sort this argument out.

Cruiseon

Talk about sitting back.

I start up a casual thread about Didak being in doubt, and largely beacuse of Nuffman's enthusiasm for Collingwood, it now runs 5 pages!

Interesting.

Nuffman

All I said was, is that Didak can't handle a tag. People take it to mean he is a crap football player.

Not my fault they keep harping on about crap that was never said, with me basically reinforcing that i never said he was a crap player to begin with in each post.

Ossie: that's because Swan is averaging 5 possies a game, one would expect Swan to get 40 more inside 50's than Pendles, considering he is an attacking midfielder and has over 100 possesions more for the year.

Based on the other stats, I'd prefer Pendles in my team than Swan.

As for Didak, I had an option of either Didak or Daisy last week, guess who I took, and it worked out for me in spades. Hence why I don't mind if Didak doesn't play

To keep it on track, Didak will be rested, effectively winning my GF :-)

Samm79

I hope he will be, I haven't had the best of luck or more accurately, my opponents seem to be getting some good breaks so hopefully this will even it up!
