How about you compare it to a certain magpies bump where a players jaw got broken.

You mean the accidental head clash. Yes, I'm sure Maxwell went to break his jaw with his head.

dockerone

I think he is a knob too but I would be disappointed in the AFL if he gets weeks. It was a legitimate shepard IMO

Where does it say Maxwell purposely broke his jaw.Bit sick of people who can't read what is written.you go make your own shower up.

It says compare the bump to his.maxwell and him bumped heads and Adams head hit the ground.if Maxwell didn't go why should waters.

Bluke

Legit if you ask me. Well within 5 meters. Trouble may arise because both feet left the ground.

Pearla of a bump.

Holzman, I don't have him in my dream team and I hope he plays. I was seated 10m in front of where this happened, 3 years ago it wouldn't even have been looked at by the AFL.

Apologies luvfooty! No offense intended. I'm sick of people giving Maxwell crap and am a bit sensitive about it and misinterpreted!

Though personally, I'm sick of people not being able to quote properly ;)

LF

That's fine ossie it's not usually the people that write in here a lot that do it.apologies with the quote I'm on my iPod and the browser I use is pretty crap.and no not giving Maxwell shower.just think the two incidents could be used for comparsion as they are pretty similar.

elephants

i saw the waters incident i think he will be fine he made no head high contact and he was just trying to protect the ball carrier the only thing that could have him in strife is if leigh adams was concussed.

DT Junkie

I'm probably gonna cop... ohh, you don't know the rules... blah blah... But on one hand you have a moron that has made a living out of going after the player - never the BALL. Watch most of the 'hits' highlight in my previous post, tell me if he is even trying to go for the ball? He even says he used to lay kids out in year 2 or some crapola and even his sister !?! huh ??? His behaviour gets thrown out. Not a good example for the same morons that go around in amature footy with the same intent each week. Then on the other hand you have Pods bending over to pick the freekin' ball up and clips a bit of head on the way down and cops 2 games.
I'd rather see the intentional thug hits treated more seriously than the accidental contact.

within 5m, no head contact, no lifting of the arm........fair bump. Maybe there shouldn't be any tackling. If someone should of been suspended it was Judd when he elbowed Pav in the face. Now that is a joke. Leigh Brown suspended for a little accidental backhand into johncok, that is a joke.

The bump was always a legal part of footy, so whats the problem?!?  Noone really does it properly any more hence all the supensions and being reckless, Waters is not being reckless (he has been in the past yes), but he lines up the body and does something that is still in the game.  No different from blokes who used to do it like Woosha, a lot of players duck into it these days as well.
