Greens only have 1 seat and there are 4 independents.  The independents were split 2 - 2 (going by who they were up against in their electorate)

If it falls 73 - 72 in favour of the coalition (which is the current prediction) then it could still be deadlocked at 75 all if no deals can be struck with the independents.  Could be a stale mate and therefore no government will have majority.  I think that would mean we would have to vote again (I am not 100% sure about that).  I am not sure what the time frame is for the Libs or Lab to complete a deal that would get them the 76 seats required.

It seems though that Australia got what it asked for, now it's up to the noobs in the capital to brown nose some indy's and get the green light - if they can't make it happen then we return again to the polls.
Keep in mind that globally it is not unusual to be hung, Kiwis and the Poms are hung and deliver effective administration.
