can anyone fill me in on gilbert? is he a good option?

anyone think raines will come good?

any alternatives to gilbert...ie hurn or someone priced at 300k

I honestly think this.  You picked raines for a reason.  You still have him and its almost round 3.  Stick out the remaining 2 weeks they say he has and get something from it.

Gilbert is good for probably this week, but its a bit of a sideways trade and almost a nervous jump.  He will get you about $150k, but it depends on how much a trade is worth to you.  Some people say about $170k, at this early point i'd say its a fair bit more.  Especially with the start to this year!

thanks BLUEBOY...somewhat nervous...was in fear of a backline-donut...however now i am pretty sure that 2 out of broughton, hill and petrenko will play.

yeah, gilbert averaged well for the first 2 games, and would definetly enable me to upgrade to a low-end premium player.

have not traded yet.

my concerns with raines are:
a) whether he will really be back in two
b) how much TOG he will get coming back in
c) how the injury and TOG will affect his SC score (given he is not an effecient scorer - a good score would be dependant on quantity not quality of disposal)

it's be great to have a little more feedback on raines/gilbert this arvo when i decide whether or not to trade!

Dont fall for the hype of Gilbert. He is terrible. Look at his numbers last year. He wont repeat games like his first. He is priced low for a reason.
