Much like the Bulldogs last week a flu has spread through Geelong.  Apart from those omitted from the side there are likely to be last minute big names withdrawals.

So does this give Carlton a chance to prove themselves at the real end of the season? Other than the Pies, Carlton have had an easy run for the last 4-5 weeks and I wonder whether people think Carlton can make an impression in September or whether they are making up the numbers.

Will Carlton make a statement against Geelong this weekend?
