The season is over for West Coast midfielder Matt Priddis after complications with an ankle injury.

Eagles coach John Worsfold was confident Priddis was a chance to return to action in Sunday's clash with North Melbourne.

But a website linked to Priddis' management said the ball magnet would sit out the final two home-and-away rounds.

With West Coast completing the formalities before the curtain is closed on the club's worst AFL season, the Eagles are also expected to rest Adam Selwood, who has continuing problems with a shoulder.

As reported on thewest.com.au earlier this week, first-year player Brad Sheppard was also likely to have played his last match of 2010 because of an AC joint complaint.

The growing injury will give the Eagles the opportunity to test some fringe players.

Ashton Hams is available after serving his three-game suspension while Tim Houlihan, Jordan Jones and Ryan Neates have all put their names in front of selectors after impressive performances in the WAFL.

Koby Stevens remains available after accepting a reprimand for making forceful front on contact.
