sounds like you are scared fletch will beat you Q. you want him to burn trades so that you get an advantage :P

Loving this early season banter!

Having never played this before, it appears that early trades can be useful. Is 'making money' a viable option in this game? eg does it happen that someone like albrighton could go up to 5.0? At this stage it almost seems a waste to get him at 4.6 as there isnt much you can do with the 0.4 you have left over.

Ive made one change this week, but geez the unlimited trades is tempting!

Fletch74

Yes, Albrighton could go up to 5, but not this week, it's a steady progress. I had Dunne last year. Paid 5.0 for him at the beginning of the season (he ended up in the high 6's)

The issue is when you sell them, you only keep half the profit (brokerage fee). This is why you've got to try and get on to them ASAP before they rise in price and sell when they're at their max. This is similar to the stock market. If you can increase your team value to 105 or so half way through the season, still earning enough points, you're in a good position.

I've seen teams at the end of the season finish with almost 120 as their value because that's all they do is trade, trade, trade and cop the penalties for trading too much...

Thus sometimes, it doesn't hurt to;

1) Trade early in the week before everyone else trades that player in
2) Make more than one trade in order to gain value for later in the season. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Thus, in answer to what you do with the other 0.4, well it will become useful when you need to purchase someone else. If Albrighton increases to 5, when you've purchased him at 4.5, you will only get 4.7 when you sell him. Sometimes it's better to try and hang onto them just that one more week to try and get them to 5.1 just for that extra 0.1 sale value and it enables you to purchase someone else you couldn't before..

Cheers for the help Fletch!

Might look into getting albrighton next week depending on how he goes this week. He did look pretty good on the weekend though.  ;D

CrowsFan

the problem with albrighton is he might not get a game once agbonlahor comes back in, which could be this week

Justin Bieber

We have a few injuries and he could perhaps stay in the team if he continues form. He is young and not as developed as some of the other guys. Doubt he'll play consistently but enough for people to make a little cash. He is just like my smokie in Henderson. Young but has found a spot in Sunderland's lineup 8). Not the best talent but we'll see 8).
