Novel ways of choosing your DT?

Was just thinking if there were any fun ways of chossing your team and whether the ways would provide a competitive teams.  The 2 I came up with was:

1. Team of Captains: Goodwin, Brown, Harvey, Pavlich, Ling, Judd, Newman, Kirk, Riewoldt, Mitchell, Glass, Maxwell, Johnson, Cassisi, McDonald & Watson with the last 6 players anyone in leadership groups or rookies, & rucks.  That looks like a pretty solid team bar Maxwell & Glass.

2. Each teams gamebreaker: eg. Hodge from Hawks, Judd from Carlton, LeCras from West Coast etc

Anyone else got any other ideas?

Teams of left footers, aboriginal players or players that have moved clubs are a few I have pondered over.

The way to go is rollercoaster rides ;D. Stock up on them and you'll be in the running for weekly price if most of them fire at once ;).

One of my mates this year picked a team with only Indigenous players and named his team sampson and delihla. Was classic when his team went up against Adam Goods' Nunga Magic.

He had trouble getting a full list and the boys allowed him to pick up "any dark player" i.e. Harry taylor counted. He also had trouble picking his ruck division, but there are lists of player backgrounds on the net that helped.

His season was a rollercoaster with injury and inconsistency. He also really struggled with trades and the Lovett rape thing didn't help either. Would advise against using any sort of novel way of picking a competitive DT. Although was fun for banter and general DT foul chat. i.e. Watch my dark boys fly.

note* my mate who picked this team is himself aborigional, so was not ment to poke fun at all

Yeah my bad Harry O'Brien. We let him have a few, he got Harry, Rodan and Satenta. We even let him have Kerr who is half Indian.
