Going into their match against the Dons I think the pies would of been quite confident I winning, so I don't understand's Mick's decision. Last night Jolly and Leigh Brown were doing the ruck work, now Jolly was doing about 70% while Leigh brown had about 30%. He didn't get a hit out but he did kick a few goals, he played pretty well IMO. But why didn't Wood play, they should be getting games in him, but instead they are trying to cram games in Leigh Brown, the top spot is sealed so I think It would be smart to rest a tall and play Wood. Know It's going to happen as Jolly's out but does anyone have a reason for this move?

Fraser is in front of Wood anyway. Although i too was surprised to see the Jolly, Brown combo again last night. I really think it would have been a good time to get some games into Josh.

Wood is still a fair way off. His ruck work is fine but he doesnt add that much around the ground. give him a few more years and he will come good.

Maybe some games will speed the process up? I can't see Fraser ahead of Wood next year to be honest.

Fraser needs to be traded IMO, he is not getting a game and they could easily trade him for somebody that would/might get a game...

Trade Fraser? He's finished? Old, Tired plus he's lost some of his dominance. No one would really take him. If I was Mick, get Wood ready for when Bucks comes in, so they could have 2 firing Rucks.

Ruckus

Have to agree with MQ. Wood will be a good ruckman with another season under his belt. At the end of last season he started to put a couple of good games together. Felt that this year would have been his year until Jolly was brought in.

Leigh Brown provides much more options than Cameron Wood around the ground. While I agree Wood could develop, the Pies aren't about development this year (and probably next).

Fraser is finished at the club though :(

Master Q

Ossie, it's just one player, you've got Top spot sealed and Jolly has played every game so far. I don't see a reason why he isn't playing. Plus, someone like Wood won't cost you a game.

I was doing some more research and found out that Fraser has played 8 games this year, none of them were played with wood.

Top spot is sealed, and team balance is crucial for a team like Collingwood.

Fraser will come in for Jolly first, Wood hasn't been dominating the VFL. So, if Fraser goes in for Jolly, who would you drop for Wood? It would have to be a tall - and L. Brown, N. Brown/Reid, Cloke, Dawes, Presti have all earnt their spots and none need resting.

Master Q

You never know, some could be tired. Fraser should play his 200th then come out for Wood.

Again, I disagree. Shouldn't be playing around with teams like that. I don't think this is kindergarten, not everyone gets a go. I'd hate to see Buckley or Corrie get a guernsey just cos.

Just joking with you Ossie  ;D

The only serious thing I meant was:

I think I agree with ossie, most likely Fraser will come in, I mean even though top spot is sealed he will do more than Wood, fits into the team better while Jolly isn't there, I mean, otherwise Wood would of been no.1 ruck last year.

You're asking why a player who hasn't been playing as well as other players hasn't been selected? Think it's fairly self-explanatory.
