I had faith in this boy and he gets dropped for the round two game.
luckily for him i had rich and robinson to cover him.
what are his chances of being back this week after west coast had a big win over port?
supposedly he had 24 or so touches in the WAFL...
thoughts?

Ive got him too.  Makes me feel less certain of a return after west coasts impressive win over the power.  I will wait and see if hes named before deciding what to do

PIESBOY

I cant see him getting back into the side this week. Although his stats were ok for Perth on the weekend, he definitely wasn't one of the best players. They had a big win and had roughly 7 AFL/ex-AFL players running around who had a lot more influence than him.

Once he gets back into the side though, I still see him being a consistent 60-70 DT player - nothing spectacular though.

Pass for me

For the record i have butler as well and this is my take on it...

As far as i know butler is in the eagles best 22, but got sent back to the wafl to get some confidence as he hasn't played in a while due to injuries.

I don't know how he went, but gathering on what u guys said he had a reasonable game, because of this you'd think he now would've gained the confidence he needs and should come straight back into the eagles side.

But I'm a bit nervous if he will after the eagles impressive win on the weekend! But like i said from what I've read/heard he's in the eagles best 22 so fingers crossed he gets picked...

i think butler is capable of averaging 85!
well i did at the start of the season anyway.
could have been a bit ambitious.
lets hope its a lot like joel bowdens situation last year where he came back firing!

butler was a premiership player back in 2006. injured in 2007 and 2008. surely once he has a bit of confidence he'll come back into the side.

dont panic on your smokie too soon. this is the reason you chose them and you knew it could go either way.

i have him and like you i have robinson and rich covering for butler and anthony. not even looking at trading either atm

FYI i'm ranked 228

PIESBOY

Agree Gerry - ive you have him and you've got rookies to cover him, there is no reason to get rid of him. If your looking at doughnuts though, id be tempted to trade him out cos I dont see him being consistently picked over the next 2 months. Definitely in their best 22, but after being dropped this week, there are question marks hanging over him for the immediate future

there is an article on the WCE site about the wafl week just gone. said he played in the middle all day and stood out with his skills.

hopefully can push back in soon
