No, no, and no.
Agree with the others.
Simpson is gonna be 27 next year, bit old to be a gun in the future don't you reckon? He should have peaked by now.

Carrazzo, it's there, just he doesn't have a good enough kick yet and damn Ratten uses him as a tagger, he should not tag!

Yarran, Garlett, no. They will not be guns. Can pull out some flashy things but don't have the consistency.

I don't deny Carlton have an excellent team MQ. I imagine they will be even better next season if they can fix their key forward problems, which they appear to be doing.
In spite of what other fans seem to think, Carlton have been patient and have got together a good team. For the sake of the Carlton fans, I hope they do well. There are, however, 16 other teams next season that all want one thing. There are other young sides that are just as good, and maybe hungrier.

Hmm that's a little strange as Yarran can be extremely good and can play better then betts a lot, Gartlett been in hot form and I think he can keep him out.

With Carrazzo, have you heard of improving?

Yarran & Grlett in my eyes won't be 'guns' maybe Yarran not Garlett.
MIlne, Betts, Medhurst not exactly 'guns' small forwards tend to be inconsistent.

Yes but Betts is more proven, you are hardly gonna become a 'gun' player if you kick some goals from the boundary or break away for a goal with blistering speed and then go quiet the next few weeks.

That's what I mean with Carrazzo, that's why I said "it's there" but he is not gonna improve much if he is stuck tagging, when he is obviously a lot better when he is allowed to play more freely

Alex7089

I remember a game when WCE were still good (I Know) Carrazzo notched up 40 odd disposals at Subi whilst roaming free and was BOG.
Why do coaches never look at things like that when they male these decisions.

Master Q

Betts- To me, I think it doesn't matter if he is Inconsistent, because there is always Yarran, Gartlett,Waite, the Ruckmen and the Midfielders to kick goals instead of him.

I think they have realised Carazzo's limitations and him becoming a tagger has extended his career. His possessions were never damaging, say like Judd's, and now he is given specific jobs. That said he needs to get better at tagging as he doesn't actually shut people down. I don't think Ablett or Swan wake up and think, sh*t I'm being picked up by Carazzo this week.

Interestingly Ryan O'Keeffe has done this job the last two weeks with great effect. A successful reinvention, like Ling's from a few years back.

Don't be blind to Carlton's forward line problems, a lack of structure is a bad thing
