Val what's your view on this:

All those players are very good, but none of them except for Sandi, Pav and maybe Barlow have won you a game this year, and don't look like they ever will except for Mundy.

I dont want a team that has to rely on just 1 or 2 players, Freo has had that for the last 15 years and look where it got us - nowhere.  My Eagles friends are quick to remind me that the trophy cabinet is bare.  This is a team game and the reason why Freo has won as many games as it has this year is 'teamwork'.  That is the difference with the top teams compared to the rest.  They have a team full of good players not just 1 or 2 stars and the rest C graders. 

Freo are deserving of their 5th place and I dont think we are quite there yet to be a top 4 side, but with the way we have played this year I am quite comfortable in saying that we are the 5th best team this year.  I just hope we can get a few key players back from injury before the finals.

Would be fantastic to have Sandi, Tarrant, Balla, Mayne & Crowley fit and firing for finals.  At this stage we will be lucky to get them back in time for finals.
