Thoughts? Other goals that were worthy? If you can find the clips let's share them.

I may be biased but the chosen goal is a rip snorter.

It was a great goal, it hurts me to say that. It must have hurt when McGuane went to Carlton, even though it was for 3 games only.

I was just disappointed they didn't choose Albert Thurgood's (Essendon) goal from the 1901 GF. It was a place kick from 70m out. No camera's there unfortunately :P

CFC 1979

Ablett snr 1990's

out of the centre and as Sandy Roberts said " He's on fire, Gary Ablett runs to 50 shoots for goal WHAT MORE CAN YOU SAY"

close 2nd was Lurch Madden's run out of the centre and 50 m goal. All in slow motion  :P

C'mon CFC , do some research for us and get the clips.

Madden's was more the most amusing goal ever rather than the best but very memorable all the same.

good goal no doubt but best goal ever you've got to be kidding ???

They never should of announced the best the best goal 'officially' in my opinion. Seeing as it can't exactly be proven how 'good' a goal is. It is all just opinion.

That was a great goal. I also remember him streaming down the ground and nailing one from 50 (playing for port) don't remember what year, or who he was playing though so probably couldn't find it but I will try later.

Jack Anthony's semi-final goal last year sticks in my memory! Haven't had much time to forget though
