It is now official, the best goal of all time is not only a Collingwood goal (inevitable) but against Carlton.

Still puts a shiver up my spine.

Bet you Eddie was involved in getting that over the line :P

Cruiseon

No he wasn't, the panel was all ex-players. Have a look at the article which lists the judges.

Fletch74

How much did he pay them...?? ;)

pfft peter daicos kicked atleast 10 better goals than that ablett senior too

Micky McG.... former coach of the Burnie Dockers. Also Collingwood premiership player. Woo!

Fletch74

Gee, there ain't too many of those these days, especially those who won a flag in September!!

Which begs me to ask the question, if the GF is moved to October next year, that means the Pies might win.

My worst nightmare!! :-\

I was thinking that, we'd start favourites as soon as it was announced.

I reckon I've seen the best goal ever. Doug Wade DROP KICKED a goal from in front of the members stand on the boundary. It MUST have gone 60 meters minimum. We were all in awe.

Yer, OK Marc, but you just don't see a perfectly timed drop kick EVER. I'll never forget it.

That's the great thing about footy isn't it marc. Stuff you never forget. Barassi running in through a heavy ground to kick a goal from 40 meters (yards then). Big Nick take a mark in the goal square over poor little Ian Nankervis, and after taking the mark just stands there and looks at him.
