If you had to move to a city in Australia for work or you met a hot russian who wanted to live there or you just felt like it and you had to barrack for a team because you couldn't handle not going to the footy every second week, who would you adopt as your 'second team' and why?

I've been a Port supporter all my life but a move to melb might be on the cards next year and was thinking of adopting the Tiges. I've found myself watching their games the last few weeks and like watching how they play their footy. Hardwick and Lade link works too. I think for the first time in a while, their future looks bright too.

How about you guys?

Melbourne or West Coast I've had soft spots for

I have been given the option to move to Melbourne for work so if I had to pick one it would be either Melbourne or the Tiges.  Although I would always be a Freo boy

I'd like to talk more about the Russian I've just met. What does she look like? Is she a goer?   :-*

That aside, I already have a second side - anyone who is playing Carlton. This week Go DONS!!

When I was a young'un I was a keen Eagles fan (Paul Harding and Brett Heady visited me in hospital when I was ill at the age of 7 or 8 once), but at the age of about 10 or 11 I grew fond of Paul Kelly and Tony Lockett etc and started following the Swans who became my first team. I've always maintained that the Eagles are my 2nd team and so I immensely enjoyed the rivalry in the mid-2000's (which seems to have finished now).

Backing Richmond wouldn't be a bad way to go as they are still near the bottom so it doesn't look like you've jumped on a wagon but at the same time they'll certainly start climbing the ladder soon  ;)

I've quite enjoyed watching Fremantle play this year though.

Used to go for the Dogs since I use to own a dog :P. When I actually started watching footy, went for the Bombers and it stuck. Still like the Dogs today. Went to a Dogs match a few years ago when they played the Hawks in the Prelim :'(. Rohan Smith used to be my favourite until Boyd came along 8).

Doggies second team if you didn't get that ;D.

Well, I'm not that sort of person who would change teams... But of course it would matter where I go, My second team is either Geelong, Bulldogs or Essendon, but they are all Victorian  :P Gold Coast maybe  ;D

jump on the tiges or the demons for sure!
living in adelaide and supporting the bombers is extremely tough, thinking a move to melbourne when i leave school may be on the cards so i can actually see some live games!

Followed the Roos before the Crows came in (Nth Melb/Nth Adelaide Roosters connection) and also had soft spot for Swans because of red and white ala South Fremantle too.
Was in a win/win situation in 98 when Crows played Roos in the GF, was more happy than sad at final result and haven't looked back since. Some of my mates had said I'd I just jumped on (I had been following Pikey and Carey's careers + the Nth/Nth thang).
Have managed to convert the wife from being a South Australian, Eyre Peninsula raised Port loving supporter to a Crow loving, Rooster lover!
