Seriously? The Eagles are considering this.

I'm not sure if Cox is on board with this, but if he isn't, this is pathetic.

PATHETIC.

Cox is one of the greatest players of the last decade, and to get rid of him is simply an insult to fans, and disloyal at best.

How can Eagles fans watch the 2006 grand final when there 3 best players couldn't finish their careers at their club?

What kind of tradition is this?!

I'm all for clubs trading players, but legends of the club should be off-limits.

.... Surely Gold Coast would take him though?

Remember that the AFL is a business now.

Tradition is out the window now!! No such thing, look at GAJ. It's all about $$$ now.

And Worsfold quickly quashes this rumour.

Though the eagles are after a genuine small forward? Ahh... Mark LeCras?

Strange call by Woosha.  They have the best small forward in the game and they are looking for another one????

Cruiseon

There are three going pretty cheaply at Carlton.  Surely Setanta would come with the deal for nothing. ;)

they want to install LC in the mids.

Then get a new midfielder and keep LC in the forward line!

I agree.  It's easier to get another midfielder than a good small forward

He also said Kerr won't be going, which to me isn't very smart.

Why not?

Kerr's not a very good #1 midfielder, but I wouldn't trade him unless they offered something pretty good. Just gotta get his body/attitude right.

They have a few nice mids coming through though. Priddis the alpha male followed with decent support from Ebert and Swift. Have a few more who can play fill in roles.

Kerr hasn't really done alot since his old friends left him to fend for himself.

dylsta05

they wont trade cox, but they will trade alot

Look at how many games he's played this year. I'm sure a team will want him. Port? Essendon?
