I plan to trade Haselby for Rich, freeing up some cash, then i have a choice to make in my back line:

Hill for Houlihan or Raines for Harding?

My gut says get rid of Hill, he's dead weight, but the carrot of getting Harding into my team at this stage before his price goes up is difficult to resist.

Any wise heads want to help me out??

There's always a flash in the pan player at the start of the year.  Harding could be it.  But could not.  It's a bit of a pointless trade i'd say.  Just hang onto Haselby and if you need to, trade Hill down to a rookie who's playing like Cheney, Petrenko or Suban.

Hmm, to be honest i'm not sold on any of the Freo players at this stage, hence wanting to off-load Haselby.  But you're probably right, it's a bit of a "nothing" trade...

Hill for Petrenko would be most likely in that case...

I reckon haselby will be worth holding onto, he will be starting every game in the midfield for freo this year and he is a proven ball winner. Raines will be backin 2-3 weeks and will slot straight back into Richmonds starting lineup

I agree with holding Hasleby - he will increase in price and will probably end up being a solid 80 average, allowing you to plug upir leakier holes.

That being said, don't listen to footyfan2009, he's going around telling everyone to hold onto Freo players.  He's either 5 years old, retarded or Mark Harvey.

Just sayin'.

I don't consider Harding as a 'flash in the pan' type of player. He has always played in the back line and now is playing a completely different role in the midfield. Hence, he is getting more of the ball.

His success means that any Boomer Harvey owners can drop their heads as it means Harvey will more likely spend more time up forward and score much less then expected.

Houlihan is somewhat of a downhill skier. He is happy to belt Richmond and Brisbane but come up against any of the big boys and he will only get 60s.

I would defenitely get Harding mate.

Forgot to add not at the expense of Hasleby. He has only been playing 60% game time to ease him back and is still scoring 60s. Wait til he plays his usual 80% game time .

Have decided to stick with Haselby for now - will miss out on getting onboard the Rich bandwagon.

Will do the Hill - Petrenko trade though - refuse to leave Hill in my team!

Thanks guys

I think the Hill trade is worth doing...

Hill is only in peoples sides for 1 reason: Make some cash!!!

But at this rate Hill might do the opposite and be worth even less soon, this means you'll never be able to trade him up- No point keeping a cash cow that makes no cash!

Houlihan will score more than harding IMO long run.
