St. Kilda and Ross Lyon in trouble?

With the Saints being humbled by Collingwood, very lucky to get a draw from Hawthorn and embarrased by Essendon, should the panic bells begin? They were also scratchy against the Lions the week before that.

2 points of a possible 12 doesn't bode well, but a top 4 position is still a lock. Is this just a case of St. Kilda pacing themselves for a stilt at the flag? If St. Kilda bomb out of the finals, is Lyon's tenure at the club numbered? St. Kilda don't have the best track record in regards to keeping the faith with coaches, with Grant Thomas given the flick despite making finals.

I think they'll still be a force, but serious question marks remain for me. They should trade Koschitzke to the Gold Coast for Milne is clearly a downhill skier.

How can Montagna, Goddard, Dal Santo, Gram and Hayes get plenty of the ball, Riewoldt be serviceable, and the Saints get comprehensively beaten? You've gotta start questioning the depth.

Can't blame them for losing to the Bombers 8). We're their Kryptonite ;D.

They won't be panicking. They have some issues, but it's still a month before the finals, and they will have resolved them by then. A form slump now is better than later on.

And watch out if they hit their straps just as others are losing their's. Hopefully this form slump means they won't rest players...

now lets hope they find some form for finals, i want to see a good battle out of all 8 teams

I guarantee you, EVERY team playing in the finals will be in good nick. Coaches these days know all the tricks and traps.

Would be nice to see the Saints lose this week and Freo win.  That would put Freo back in the 4.  If the Bulldogs also win then the saints would drop to 5th.

That would make it very interesting, but it probably won't happen...

I wonder what the odds would be on it happening

I'll give you 5-1

For Saints losing to Port, Dogs defeating Crows, and Freo defeating Roos? That's decent odds.... hmm... *contacts bookie*

Fletch74

I agree. I'm happy to lay those odds. Saints won't lose to Port.

They did last time!
Yes, but that was in Adelaide, and the Saints were undefeated and without Roo! This time they have their backs up against the wall and it's in Melbourne with Roo. It won't happen twice.
