ok im gunno put in my two cents about the round one injuries etc. In my opinion what you need to think about is money, who in gunna make you money in the long run,and who will play enough games. i had the usual injuries to raines and anthony so i traded in rich(because of tucks injury, no sub) and cheney(quite risky, will he play enough games?), usually i would have waited till the price changes but this year i think is probably the hardest start to a year for a while . i mean we didn't even know the teams when we picked our sides because the dt site crashed and couldnt change our sides. i know alot of people will say that you need to save the trades which is true but what is the point of copping the zero when copping the zero will cost you potential money in the long run and if you make the right trades they will save you making the same trades later on anyway.thoughts?

i'm getting on the big cash cows that aren't in my team next week, no point having trades if you don't make the cash to upgrade later on. I will save as many trades as i can until later in the season but i need to be on the right rookies early to catch the cash

hey snag
I tend to agree with you re trades.  It's all about making money/winning money. I will have accomplished 5 smart trades by the end of round 4 aimed at fine tuning mainly my midfield  taking advantage of exposed good form and getting rid of dead wood and long term injuries. the midfield is the engine room, that's where the big scorers are, it needs to be running at full efficiency at all times. Hopefully barring bad luck that will hold me until about round 10 when I'll do another fine tune based around form and start taking advantage of cash cows.  By round 15 I hope to have 8 trades left to see me through to the end of the year.  To me the most damaging factor is this game is copping zeros, that needs to be avoided at all costs, and that means holding on to youngsters who aren't getting a game and increasing in value.  This system worked pretty well for me last year, fingers crossed it will work again.  Of course, to a degree we're all in the lap of the gods re injuries, who cops them, when, and for how long.  But we should never for any play out of form players.
