Completing the midfield.

Looking to complete my midfield this week.

Swan, Montagna, Bartel, Mitchell, J Selwood and D Martin
(Shuey, Gysbergs).

Obviously, this means I am looking to get rid of D Martin, but am unsure who for!

6 trades remaining and 170,000 in the bank.
Can just afford boyd, but would ablett be a more appropriate choice, saving me 60,000???

Ablett will be rested at least one maybe 2 games.. also I think he could spend a fair bit more time up forward leading up to finals and surely he cant kick 5goals many more times :P  I dont reli know but i dnt think the doggies will rest players because they are fighting for top 4. if the rest of ure team is set i would be getting boyd over GAJ.

Ablett would be a solid choice. However, that would mean 3 cats in your midfield - with no bench cover. Geelong will rest players - and you don't really want to cop multiple zeros.

I would go with Boyd - consistent solid scoring week-in week-out.

Yeah they're both guns and Ablett's cheap as but with Gys and Shuey on the bench I would go Boyd.

well GAJs last 5 week avg is 107
whereas Boyds is 125

says it all right there
boyd would be much more solid this time of the year
plus doggies need to win games to stay top4, so low chance of him being rested
