Showdowns - Dead or Alive?

Of the 200,000 tickets available for the last 4 Showdowns only 9,000 were not sold. The game at the gate is alive! ;D

AFL's programming of this fantastic rivalry has taken the gloss off it >:(

Balfours are a fantastic and iconic SA sponsor (only time I like hearing donuts associated with AFL ;)) but even they are surely suffering from crappy programming.

Scheduling the games to be more 50/50 crowds rather than one particular home audience is a way I think the game could demand again the spectacle it deserves.
Its 15 v 13 in Ports favour right now,let's make it 15 v 14 in Showdown 29 tomorrow Crow boys.

Yeah, you could be right Rob. But I think Port have lacked direction since that 1 day in September 2007 (yeah, I seriously think that still hurts), so I'm questioning Port's ability to have a single focus for any game!

Very surprised they didn't bring in out of form Chad Cornes. The man is a Showdown specialist!
Watch out for Josh Carr and his final game, there could be a few out for the Crows next week because of fractures and suspensions due to this champion little menace.

What I don't get though with Primus, is why pick an out of form Carr to say goodbye to and probably doesn't help you win the game, and not pick the Showdown specialist Chad? Surely I'd be trying to win every game I could whilst on coaching work experience....

Should be a game today to rival the first one and the barney between Rod Jamieson and Scott Cummings.
At least this fight will last longer than Danny Greens ;)
