List Management for 2011

Okay, so we can all agree that the dons could use a couple of experienced heads in the side prior to next season.

I would like to know what people think in terms of possible targets and our trade bait....

My Thoughts -

Possible Targets:
J.Brennan
Another CHF/FF appox 24-28yrs...

H.Slattery
K.Reimers
R.Dyson
J.Laycock
B.Houli

Houli hasn't played much all year. Has to be trade bait.

Slattery I doubt will be used as bait. A decent small defender/part time tagger.

I don't want Dyson to leave :'(. He's my Favourite player :D.

I have a soft spot for Houli but I agree he'll probably be bait as well...

Even though he probably hates the club I would like Essendon to move for the out-of-contract Campbell Brown...we need a player that can add a bit of mongrel to the side and will put his body on the line....

Ossie - Cambell Brown is 27 and he is not in a team to be a high-possession winning midfileder...i would hardly say he's past it!

The bombers biggest problems this year is that they're too soft, lack passion, lack leadership and they don't play hard enough in tight contests....

Sorry HP, but I think Dyson should be trade bait. He's been at the club for a few years now, produced the odd thing here and there, but not enough for me. Reimers is in the same boat. I don't think that they will put up Slattery for trade though. I'm not sure about Houli either - he has potential, but has just had no luck with injuries.

Reimers is a great play IMO, shouldn't be let go.

Laycock is injury prone and in my worst 50, may aswell use him as bait but I don't think anyone will accept him, should be dropped.

I think with the situation on draft chances, a lot of teams will be considering exactly what you're talking about. I know it already happens, but over the next few years clubs who finish in the top half will think about this a lot more carefully.

I think you should trade Hurley, Gumbleton, Ryder, Fletcher and of course Knights.

At Collingwood we could give you Jack Anthony, Josh Fraser, Shane O'Bree and if you are really nice Athos Hrysoulakis.
