I think 15 wins will guarantee a place in the top 4. 3 to go

2.5 left :)

Well, the Bulldogs are a game behind Freo on 10, 3 games behind Saints and Cats on 12, and 3.5 games behind Collingwood. The Hawks and Swans are further game behind that.

14 might be enough? But yeah, 15 would secure it.

I think finishing on top this year will be a real bonus. The top 3 is basically set (not the order) so effectively 2 of these teams will be playing each other in week one which really would be best avoided.

Compare that to playing Freemantle in Melbourne or the Dogs? I know which one I'd prefer. I doubt the Hawks can slip into 4th but we'll know more on Friday night.

Personally I can see a rematch of Saturday's game on the cards with Geelong finishing top.

You know, I don't think it really matters where you finish in the top 4 if all the teams are based in Melbourne. I think it's worked out in such a way that to win the flag you have to beat the other 3 teams. It might be fun to check, but I don't think teams meet in the finals twice all that often. I'll go back about 10 years and see.
Be back soon.

2005 and 2006 the Eagles met the Swans twice, and 2003 Lions v Pies met twice.

Dammit ossie >:(
It seems that if the eventual premier loses their first final then they have to play that team twice (Assuming that they don't lose a game). What a useless exercise that was >:(

But that is because that they always like to have the big GF rematch. However 05' might just be the luck of the draw.

No, they met twice in the FINALS series Q, not the regular series.

Oh sorry, misunderstood.
