Just thought I'd create a post on this issue. I'm a big believer in the SC scoring method, however I was absolutely flabbergasted by his score! It is redicukous to think that a player can have 100+ influence over a game let alone about 5 minutes out from the end of the game. Ballantyne kicked the winning goal there for should get a big chunk of the score. I think on the back of these ridiculous score I will abandon supercoach next year and concentrate more on DT

What is going on what his SC? He had 149 SC points and 105 of them in the last quarter. Watched the game live and he did not seem to have a massive influence.

Anyone else think the same?

he did take a mark when melbourne were going forward but that surely cannot equate to 100+ points, im really annoyed at this, not from my perspective as i had easy league wins but the pure bias is just unfair

Hazza09

i have been saying this the whole season so far, so inconsistent are the SC scores. I agree Balla should have got 120 and i believe Hill's SC was fair.

This was similar to Rioli's 145 against Richmond, 70+ last qtr for 5 possessions a few tackles and there you go....maybe a goal aswell.

And Johnson didnt do alot, i watched the game and he wasnt a standout by any means ???

LouMo

It's gotta be a mistake, he went from 44 at 3-quarter-time to 149. Bollocks!!

dt over life

well he got over 30 dt points, so maybe they thought winning alot of the ball in a tense final quarter=100 points

still seems pretty stupid to me

Sammocorw

I've given up on SC this year. I have become a DT believer only from mid 2010 on.

yeah im hoping they have made a mistake, i honestly do hope that people dont loose games over this

namcoww

he took 2 marks in the defensive 50 when melb were down by < a goal. (if these were contested wouldve been pretty damn important)
dont get me wrong i think 100 points in the last quarter is too much, but there was definitely some merit to giving him extra points.

yeh one mark was contested, but surely as i stated this does not equate to 70-80 points, i agree with the supercoach system in awarding players who use the ball well and dont reward the spuds that turn it over... however, to reward a player for any act that 'decides a game' a mass amount of points is just stupid
for example
colin sylvia today played a quality game, had 23 touches kicked a really important goal in the 3rd and was one of the better players on the ground, however he scores 80 for the game, his efficiency was low (57%) and had 3 clangers which brings his score down.
BUT surely you cant say that johnson taking 2 marks equates to 80 points +
THE SAME SCORE AS SYLVIA ACCUMULATED ALL GAME!!

MiGZ

and this is why SC is so sh*t. you simply cannot follow the scoring system, its far too random.

roo boys!

I still like it but agree that it Is so random and not good when this happens.

Blueboys

WoW  :o - I watched the game and if you told me at then end he scored 151 in SC I wouldn't believe it!

Same with GAJ had 32 touches last week for 79 SC  ::)

DT is more of a raw stats when it come's to points and SC is more about effective kicks and handballs.

I am playing DT and SC and had a few players the same but as you say seem to be a big dif in scores.

I like DT just over SC because the scores are live. Both are great games I'll stick with playing both next year too!  ;D

rocca

DT is better because it is more simple! when watching a game as a DT coach as soon as someone kicks it i say thats another 3 points ;D, but with SC you hold your breath to see if it is effective.
I prefer DT.. and the live scoring is an added bonus

yeh i agree, i cant stand the idea of a player having a clanger and actually scoring from it but im sick and tired of these ridiculous scores, like rioli against port, clearly did sweet f*ck all and then made a couple of tackles in the last quarter and they jack up his score from 30 odd to 120 odd. its just garbage, champion data need to fix this anomaly
