Corey Winguard announced on ten news tonight that AFL has registered the "Sun" as the Gold Coast franchise name.
It does not appear on club website yet, but watch this space! ;)

All I hope is that it's not GC Sun (As you said it is Rooster, I hope it's a typo). It has to be GC Suns or it will be a mega fail.

I don't think it is a typo - a Collingwood Magpie, a Carlton Blue, a Gold Coast Sun....

Fairly confident Winguard said "Sun" singular, but we will see tomorrow when the "Sun" rises :P

Mmm, I'm sort of split on this one. I think it's bearable, but there's a fair few I would have prefered over it.

The jersey better not have a massive sun on the front of it or I will rage. :#
