notice on afl.com.au that he is not name in the lions team. rather disconcerting. anybody know what the deal is? monty has him in.

Marcus

He's named in the HB... glasses perhaps? hehe.

SpeedMeades

perhaps you are an oracle and looking at Brisbane's round 2 team sheet after Drummond goes TWANG!

all good. thanks marcus. at the time i posted he definetly was not amongst the 23 brisbane players name on the afl site. had my glasses on lol

brownmans muffins

watched my lions eventually get up last night
drummond was a late add in my SC team for s.hill.
watching him play wasn't impressive and he still managed triple digits
actually didn't notice the stenglein tag on him much
quality, injury-prone backman

was checking stats online during the game. very pleasantly surprised with his triple difits! fingers crossed on the injury front.

fyfebe

yeah i noticed his DT score was like 36 towards the end of the game, then saw he snagged 103 in sc or something along those lines. must have had some quality disposals.

Bo

he always has quality disposals. best kick in the league bar none.

azza10

hahaha think ya better sleep on that one Bo. massive call.

After watching a few games of him, Id nearly agree...He is accurate

Bo

Dudes go on and on about gilbee, its not even close. Watch a game, and he pinpoints passes to pick out a teammate inbetween 2-3 even 4 opponents.

Somehow he manages to kick it straight at their heads, be it on the run or stationary. All they need to do is put their hands in front of their faces and they mark it.

Gilbee has had 7 clangers this year, Drummond has had 2. Gilbee has had 10 more posessions.

Sure there are plenty of variables in each games, such as opponent difficulty, but it still takes a long time before drummond will rack up 7 clangers total.

Just something to chew on:

262 by Jonathan Brown, R7 2006, BL vs HW: 25 P, 16 M, 0 HO, 1 T, 1/0 frees, 8.4. 173 DT.
254 by Gary Ablett jnr, R5 2008, GE vs SY: 35 P, 6 M, 0 HO, 5 T, 4/0 frees, 3.0. 150 DT.
247 by Matthew Richardson, R21 2006, RI vs ES: 24 P, 19 M, 0 HO, 1 T, 0/0 frees, 9.5. 189 DT.
245 by Jimmy Bartel, R16 2005, GE vs PA: 32 P, 10 M, 0 HO, 12 T, 2/1 frees, 3.1. 183 DT.
232 by Chris Judd, R5 2006, WC vs BL: 39 P, 6 M, 0 HO, 8 T, 1/0 frees, 4.1. 177 DT.
230 by Jonathan Brown, R6 2005, BL vs ES: 20 P, 14 M, 0 HO, 0 T, 0/0 frees, 8.2. 145 DT.
227 by Josh Drummond, R10 2007, BL vs RI: 30 P, 13 M, 0 HO, 2 T, 2/0 frees, 0.1. 135 DT.

If you look at those sc scores there, you see huge performances. 8 goals from jbrown with 14 marks. 39 disposals with 8 tackles and 4 goals from judd. 32 disposals 12 tackles 3 goals from bartel etc etc.....

Thats right, 30 disposals, 13 marks, 2 tackles, 2 free kicks, 1 behind... nothing outrageous......and drummond got 227....

Wish he was in yer team now ?

Bo I bet you will be wishing he wasn't in your team when he goes TWANG! He is way 2 injury prone for me, but he might hold up

Cool9

Here's hoping he can get back to $600k before he does ....

Bo

I dont mind if he gets injured, because he's good enough to bench until he's uninjured. Dudes like raines aren't good enough to bench until uninjured, so you burn a trade.

Also i've dodged alot of recently injured players. I only have Drummond and Malceski, both, if they play properly, are worth the risk.
