There's no doubt you have to be flexible. Not everything goes the way you hope during the season. There are way to many variables

Boomz

I agree we should give him another season or 2 but he hardly changes a thing when we are down by over 10 goals and that has nothing to do with having an inexperienced team....

You can't have too many results like the weekend and expect the support of the fans and the board for too much longer.

I mean Essendon were pretty much thrashed by Melbourne (I think we can agree the margin was plattering) from the first bounce.

As for flexible coaching what was Hurley doing in the backline for most of the day when Essendon couldn't buy a goal. To make matters worse his opponent Brad Green was BOG. I just don't really understand.

RiOtChEsS

i reckon he will get the door at seasons end enter Mark Williams

Another stupid choice if they do that.

Get some new blood like Brenton Sanderson

Surely it's out of Terry Wallace and Grant Thomas!!!!

More seriously Alan Richardson is a genuine contender.

Come on. Melbourne got 7 goals from 50m penalties most of which were crapp. The umpies effectively kicked over a third of Melbournes score. Don't blame Knights for that, Melbourne would have beaten anyone Sunday. I've been around a while and I've NEVER seen a team get so much help from the umpie. I think we should just forget about that game and look at next week.

I think the problem at the Bombers is not the coaching, its the players.  You just dont have the cattle to play to the game plan that Knight's wants to play.

Fletcher is your best player (by a long way), but he is the oldest player in the comp.
Hille cant stay on the ground
Watson needs a lot of support as he cant do it all by himself (although he tries to do it all himself every week)
Stanton - pfft - crappy outside midfielder who cant hit a target
McVeigh's best is behind him

@ Bunyip.  The free kicks were technically there, although I think the 50m penalty is too harsh a punishment

What about Hurly on Green, you can't blame the umpires or the playing group for that great move?

Have to mention Ryder and Pears. Both keys in the Bombers lineup. Stanton has lost his confidence. This leads to his lack of form and horrible kicking recently. Usually a decent kick.

We have got alot of pace in the lineup but not many inside midfielders. Watson needs help i agree with you there.

Sometimes coaches leave players that are getting their arse kicked on their opponent for various reasons. Knights is not an idiot, he knows when a player is getting beaten, he chose not to move him even though it affected the result of the game. Hurly won't forget that game in a hurry, and if he's got any backbone at all, he won't let it happen again.
He'll be a better player for it.

SCADDICT

Anyone who thinks this is Knights fault is just an idiot, pure and simple. What can he honestly do with the list we have at the moment? Too many journeymen and b grades not pulling their weight. Need to have a huge cleanout next year(Laycock, all those duds gone) and bring in a better midfielder.

Definately :'(. Really missing Fletch and Pears right now. Hooker has to carry too much almost by himself. He is a decent player and a future solid backman, but too young to do alot.

Hopefully another inside midfielder is recruited as well as 2 or 3 tall Key Forwards.

RiOtChEsS

i think u will find the main problem is when legends of the club dont hold him in high regard/support his game plan combined with his results and following one of the greatest coaches of all time his head is on the block
