I have 4 trades left, 216,600 left in the cap and my current side is below. Im going purely for league win. Currently top and 11-0 in league so finals guarenteed but that is misleading. Some very hgh scoring teams in league (last week 2 2300s, 5 2200s) I have a plan for my trades but could use some other opinions. I plan on staggering the trades so as to keep one or two until finals incase of unexpected injuries.

Goddard, Enright, Hodge, Gilbert, Carrazzo, Waters, P. Davis
(Strijk, Carter)

Swan, Ablett, Montagna, Bartel, Barlow, D. Martin
(Gysberts, Bail)

Sandilands, Macintosh
(Skipper, Warnock)

Chapman, Didak, Okeefe, Brown, Higgins, Franklin, Podsiadly
(Ziebell, Hitchcock - emergency for brown)

Obviously Barlow and Ziebell have to go. Im thinking of trading down Ziebell to any basement priced rookie to make as much money as possible for 3 upgrades (412,900). Im then thinking Barlow and Martin up to two of Selwood, Pendlebury, Gibbs, Simpson, Hayes etc (advice would be appreciated). and the last upgrade at this stage will be Phil Davis. He'll go up to one of Fisher, Broughton, Duffield etc. but will probably be the last to be upgraded. Not until finals so as to keep a trade in case of injury Any other suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated

Davis to Shaw IMO. Has bottomed out and looks better then ever.

Barlow to Boyd and Martin to Gibbs.

Everything else looks outstanding.

Another player is Stants. At 350k, he is hard to look past.

Quite easily to look past him I think, Essendon are a rabble

You're 11 and 0, have a good team and I assume a top 4 finish has been sewn up. In your position I would make 1 trade this week. Barlow for whoever takes your fancy. Keep your remaining three trades (stuff all) for when it counts. You're going for league win so stop trading unnecessarily. You know what happens from rounds 19 - 22; rested players, unexpected injuries, players shelved for surgery, tanking (perhaps). If winning the GF means more to you than finishing top of the ladder then STOP my friend.

Top of the ladder means nothing, top 4 is crucial. So yeah, save trades for finals

In my league there's four teams on equal points, each with one loss.

I'm on top by percentage difference of 1.1% :-\

The rest of the league is really bad though. ;)

last year a guy made it into the 8 with a big win in the last game b4 finals and actually went on to win it all as he had trades up his sleeve and we had minimal and were crushed by injuries and restings, so when going for league making the 8 is all thats crucial when uve got a handful of trades, id say u will struggle if u trade now, cop the donuts and hold all 4 if u want to win league

+1 if a league win has been your main goal for the whole season, there is no way you should be down to 4 trades with 8 games to go, especially if the bottom half of the league is weak! you would have been much better sitting around the middle of the ladder and have 8-10 trades in the bank...my suggestion is jump ship this year and learn from it for next season...
