CARLTON father-son signing Dylan Buckley says he never considered Greater Western Sydney's advances after a handshake agreement that he would join the Blues in 2012.
Carlton was happy to commit to the 17-year-old son of triple premiership centreman Jim Buckley a full 18 months before it could draft him.

He was eligible to be signed as one of a dozen 17-year-olds that GWS could obtain, but instead will play in the TAC Cup next year before going to the Blues in the 2011 national draft.
