Indigenous All-Stars

With all of the recent talk of representative footy and the success of the NRL's indigenous V rest game at the start of the season, I began thinking about who I would pick for the Indigenous All-Stars if they were playing a competitive match (i.e. you want the best team playing based on this year's form).

This is what I came up with:

Krakouer,Grover,Johncock,
Harbrow,Aaron Davey,McLeod,
Stephen Hill,Bateman,Lovett-Murray,
Rioli,Goodes,Alwyn Davey,
Betts,Franklin,Matthew Stokes,
Ryder,Burgoyne,Travis Varcoe,
Wellingham,Dempsey,Wells,Raphael Clarke

What do you think? Really struggled with a CHB. The team would have to play a very attacking game with team defence.

I know Neon Leon's been struggling, but he'd probably get a guernsey.

They play an Aborignal v random team at the start of the year. I'd almost play Goodes from CHB, I know out of position, but reckon he could be damaging from there.

Michael Johnson at CHB. And probably have Hayden in the back line aswell.

The problem with rep teams is that it has to be based on form and neither Davis or Johnson have played well enough (and in Johnson's case played enough games as well) to be considered. Otherwise Johnson probably would have started CHB in my team.

From memory he has only missed 2 or 3 games for the season. McLeod hasn't played his best footy this year, but he still would be in the top 10 indigenous players in the league. Johnson would have missed, what 6 games so far and still has a couple till he can play again? I suppose if he played out the season well he would make it.
