StevieJ gave Baker an absolute whack to the face, made a mess of his eye:
high contact, intentional, caused injury...... :-\
I'd be stunned if he didn't cop multiple weeks..not that Baker wasn't winding him up but still - could cause even more forward line woes for many.

I don't see the difference between this and Judd's last week.

Judd - high contact, intentional, caused injury.

I will be very interested to see the result and how the AFL looks after certain players and if your a no name player 'Mumford' you get 3 weeks for a tackle.

He will get weeks. Unlike Judd he is not a Koala (protected species).

the main difference was judd was being tackled and they were on the ground, if thats not 3 weeks il be very suprised, they usually go on the extent of damage and baker didnt play much after that and it was a rocky style shiner aswell 8)

looks like at least 2 with his records

Great to see the umpires learnt nothing from the Barry Hall-Scott Thompson incident. The niggle between Baker and Stevie J started before the bounce and then just escalated throughout the night as the umps just watched on in silence, with Baker clocking Johnson in the face and then later Stevie J elbowing Baker in the eye. All that needed to be done to stop it was a free kick against one them for high/unneeded contact and it would have stopped.

Well done umpires!

If Barry Hall didn't get anything for putting Scott Thompson in a headlock I'll be surprised if Stevie J gets more than a week. This is coming from a Saints fan, Baker niggles his opponent from the opening bounce every week far worse than Scott D. Thompson does.

Pav was unable to defend himself and did nothing to judd to cause such a blow. Baker hit johnson continuously. Therefore I think Judd was more in the wrong but again a protected species

the baker incident was reminiscent of the staker incident ;D

Either by the hand of the MRP or his own hand.

plenty of provocation, and probably well deserved too, but a swinging elbow that actually connected is just too much for the MRP to ignore IMO.

yes, judd was very very lucky, and Hall got off due to provocation - but i think it ain't going to happen again...

dnt like to say it because i'll have to cop a zero but he will have to go for a week at least. probly 2
