The synopsis is:

1) We need Ghana to beat germany and we beat Serbia - we're through.
2) We have a -5 GD. If Germany win 3-0, and we win 2-0 we will go though becasue we will have scored more goals than Ghana. Thus we only have to make up 5 goals, not 6.

Whilst the 1st option seems simpler, the second option is more feasile and likely. Though it is apparent that this is an outside chance. Germany will be wanting to redeem themselves and if we go all out it could be possible.

We have been robbed by the poor referereeing, but last night we showed that we can play football and that we will be a force in future cups! Well done socceroos :)

Put youreslf in his boots! That 20 minutes could have been the last time he gets to play for Australia in a World Cup!! You could tell he was proud to be out there and he looked confident - even with all the pressure.

I don't know much about soccer rules. Maybe it was a handball. But in that case (not deliberate), wouldn't the penalty and a yellow have been enough?

What is it with these refs. They are all on a power trip. Who's the stars out there - them or the world class players?

i think cahill is back this week... if kewell doesnt get a match suspension then put the 4-3-3 formation in cahill kewell and kennedy... he finnaly put kewell on but as the onl striker.. you cant have 1 striker you need help...

They won't. We should have beaten them, but 12 v 10 makes it hard. The German's won't stuff again, but they might beat them comprehensively as they will want to make sure they finish on top and will want to redeem themselves for their loss. We're a chance to beat Serbia, but I don't think we can win by 2 or more goals though :(
