this is my first year player fantasy football and I was wondering how finals work? is it the same as the afl or is it straight 1vs8 2vs7 etc.

Yeah its like AFL and starts round 18.
1 vs 4. 2 vs 3. If you lose from there, its the double chance (like real life). Bottom of the 8 play elimination finals and winner moves up to verse loser of the top 4 matches.
