i just think it would make it easier than have to search all the posts..

Yeah, I'm not sure how to handle this. It probably should be under the Australian football category, under AFL, which would mean it's still visible when you load up the front page of the forum without scrolling down. I would be concerned, however, that creating such a forum would encourage trolls to make up injury rumours. It would have to be moderated by someone in addition to me.

Could make a board but say in the rules of posting that if you bring up an injury, you have to have proof like a link? Any thread without a link gets deleted?

Well, that would be good, but often legitimate injuries are reported on radio and don't get a Web story. Moderation is what is required.
