Master Q

Finnaly keep Corey on my bench for 6 weeks has come in to play! Yeh :D !

woofy

so in my situation... if i put hodge my vc and ablett as my c.... hodge then scores a 30... i will leave my captain as ablett obviously. but if hodge scores 150 i have to change my c to a non playing emergency who plays for a team playing in the 2nd week? in my situation it would be phil davis as adelaide plays melbourne on sunday 27th of june.

does this sound right?

bundyboy

don't think you can nominate a captain that is non-playing...'

you can only choose a captain that is actually on the field - so even if you get your VC scoring 150 points, means you need to accept a zero for your captain, as he MUST be on the field.

that's my understanding  - so i don't see how it becomes an advantage if you are forced to take a zero on the field

woofy

Phil Davis will be on the field as captain... emergency will be Goodwin. so if Davis as the captain scores a zero as his not playing, the vice captain which is hodge will get the double points and Goodwin will come on the field for Davis as the emergency. My understanding is if your captain does not play your vice captain gets the double score.

question for somebody who knows, if your captain does not play your emergency does not get the captaincy surely right? There would be no point of a vice captain then.

Spite

I have never been so happy for Jono Brown to be out before :)

Chappy (C) and Hodge (VC) for me I think!!!

Yes, but if Captain doesn't play your vice-captain scores double. And the emergency comes in for your captain (who doesn't take the captain's place)

Can someone who definately knows the rules or has any information on this please help me out. Ive been told different things about trading this week. Some people are saying you can only change your emergencies in week 2 of split round others r saying you can trade players that haven't played.

Can someone please help me out as I wish to trade players who are playing in the second week??

A thousand threads about this!

All players on teams that play in week 1 of the split round can't be touched in week 2 of the split round.

You make a week 1 player a captain, vice-captain, emergency, bench or normal, you can't touch them in week 2. And you can't trade them in and out in week 2.

So Ossie does this mean if you select a captain in week one who's team plays but he doesnt, can you change the captaincy in week 2 to another player??

ossie85

Nope. Cos you can't touch week 1 players.

Blueboys

Just do what you would do every week!  ::)

Sorry to go off topic here, but in the second week when we find out the teams for those playing, we can still make trades but only on those teams?
