I was looking at my options for this week and was think about:

Maguire<Newman

Sylvia<Boak

I have 220 900 in the bank with 10 trades remaining my side is

DEF:Goddard Enright  Waters Eski Duffield Macguire Waite EMG Davis Trengove

MID:Ablett Cross Cooney Barlow Hodge Sylvia Emg    GysbertsArmstrong

Sandilands Nic Nat    EMG Warnock Lobbe

Grundy ROK JB PODS GIA HALL PAV  EMG Rocliffe Gumby

With a high number of trades left I thought instead of chasing one PREM why not get 2 (possibly?)

Thoughts??????

Sounds alright. Missing a back though.

Boak does have the tendency to get tagged. Could even look at upgrading NicNat.

Wait and see how bad things are with Maguire. He's a keeper i think even if he is a little injury prone and you have Trengrove to cover. Sylvia to Boak is ok and i would look at Judd, Boyd or Dal Santo also if money will allow.

Might be time to look at getting an Upgrade on Nic Nat too as i think he's peaked. Nic Nat to Cox might be worth a look or Mumford as he is ripping it up.

that friken Hawk winked at me again.

I like the idea of looking at players that are not popular and scoring really well, I think these two options are about 10ppg short of making this theory work with these players.

At this stage with every trade counting I am prefering to make a double trade to get an undervalued gun instead of doing a slight upgrade with one trade.

I think you can get 2 guns with 3 trades here.

Alot of your decision depends on how long Macguire is out for and who your 7th back is. Assuming Macguire is fit or is out a week or 2 and you will avoid a donut I would single trade Sylvia to Boyd (if you can do 3 doggy mids!), Sellwood or Pendlebury. These 3 seem to be genuine premiums that are undervalued right now.

Then either now or in a week downgrade Davis/Gumby and upgrade Goose to a genuine back premi in the form of Gibert/Gilbee, etc.

I just think this gives you a better outcome than your initial thought. If you are looking for uniques Heath Scotland and Matt Pridis are guns that virtually no one seems to have. Good luck!

Thanks heaps for the replies gents. I have also added Eski to my backline whom I left out.

I will also spend a little more time when I get back home(still at the office) sharing my thoughts on why I think this is a good idea.

what about moving Sylvia to the forward line for Pav then upgrading to Chappy in the forwardline, this will be the biggest points per game.  Also keeps your MPP so if you get injuries to Chappy, Pav, ROK etc you can move them to the middle of the park as Gysberts is covering... MPP will be handy coming into the later end of the seaosn to ensure you dotn core a doughnut
